Taping For Shin Splints
Choose from`the following taping procedures for the specific area affected by pain.
Anterior, Medial or Lateral Taping

Anterior or Medial: Begin at the front of the ankle (A) wrapping to the outside around the back of the ankle and up the inner calf and shin at a 45° angle. Repeat for a total of 3 or 4 repetitions and close at both top and bottom. (B). |
Lateral: Begin at the front of the ankle (A) wrapping to the inside around the back of the ankle and up the outer calf and shin at a 45° angle. Repeat for a total of 3 or 4 repetitions and close at both top and bottom. (B) |
Combination Taping

| Alternate the Anterior/Medial and the Lateral taping procedures for 3 or 4 repetitions to obtaind additional support with a baskeweave structure. |
Longitudinal Arch Support

| Begin on the top of the foot and wrap outward under the foot and upward across the arch pulling snugly for support, with a total of 3 or 4 repetitions. |
